We're Baaccckkk!
It was, to say the least, an exciting trip. The boys were really pretty good on the plane. Will and Bobby were a little active with Bruce and my Mom, but Evan was an angel. They gave us no trouble getting into their strollers or the rental van even after the almost 6 hour flight!! Go Babies!
Then the proverbial crap hit the fan! Evan got a stomach virus during the first week. Luckily, it lasts 24 hours. I know this because after Will and Bobby got it, I got it and so did my parents! Mom and Dad mostly just had the "green apple two step." The boys and I got the works! Bruce got nothing which he credits to Wendy's chili seasoning.
We did look at houses while we were there as well. Our realtors were fantastic, and I would happily recommend them to anyone! The houses were less than fantastic, though. Bruce noted a lot of construction issues. I noted some flow and neighborhood issues. Together we poo-poo'ed all but 3 homes. One of the biggest disappointments was that the homes I liked online were in not great areas.
Also shocking was the cost of food! I have no idea how the people who work as maids and the like at the casinos afford to eat! There were some things as much as twice what we pay here in Jersey. We spent over $400 in the two weeks we were there and didn't really use much food nor did we buy anything extravagant! Speaking of pricey, Bruce and I went out to eat for our 4th Anniversary. We ended up eating at Alan Albert's (a vintage steak house) right on the Strip very close to Polo Towers where we stayed. The food and service were excellent! The prime rib was bigger than me. The ambiance was also very nice (although a little dark for people who hadn't slept all night in almost 2 weeks), but the staff honored our request to check on us to make sure we hadn't fallen asleep in our plates! So, if you happen to be in Vegas, I'd put Alan Albert's on your list of places to eat.
Other than that, there isn't too much to tell. There was only a little gambling done on my part and on Mom and Buzz's parts. I don't think Bruce spent anything-although he really would have liked to play a little roulette. As a bonus, our last breakfast in Vegas was at Terrible's on Paradise Road near Flamingo. We had a coupon for a free breakfast buffet when you join the Player's Club. We were nervous, but it turned out to be a great buffet with classic Vegas prices ($4.99 for breakfast)! The boys enjoyed it as well.
So, now we're on to figuring out what our next move will be. Jersey is still home for the foreseeable future.

Sorry everyone got sick on the trip... Still wondering why the dad's don't get it. Sheesh!
Glad you had a good time, though! You will have to post pics of the houses that are under consideration. Sounds soooo exciting!
Glad everything went ok- but yuck about the sickness! You'll have to keep us posted on the whole house hunting adventure.
